Summary
This is an oral history interview with Erin Pennington conducted as part of the Houston History Project. Erin Pennington spent a tour of duty with the United States Coast Guard that included a circumnavigation of the earth. She lends insights to the work of the Coast Guard and the role of women in that branch of service from boot camp to daily life aboard ship and arriving ports of call. Interviewer: Ernesto Valdés.
