Summary
This is an oral history interview with Steve Hoyt conducted as part of the Houston History Project. Steve Hoyt is a maritime Archaeologist with the State of Texas. The focus of this missing Civil War ships that appeared due to the shifting sands and debris brought about by Hurricane Ike in 2008. Utilizing new techniques for underwater exploration three ships were discovered that had been lost forever. The coast has been the home to over two thousand ship wrecks. These three were unknown.
